End of Life Care at Home

Compassionate, dignified care in the final stages of life

Ribble Homecare are a well-established provider of care in the home, and much of our work is with people in the final stages of life. We understand how important it is for both the person and their family to have familiar, trusted faces around them at a difficult time, and we build our care around that.

Our end of life care is delivered in your own home by fully trained, caring staff, and can range from a short daily visit to full 24-hour one-to-one support, depending on what's needed. A care plan is always built around an assessment of the individual's needs, so support can flex as those needs change.

What our end of life care can include

  • Personal care, carried out with dignity and respect
  • Support with medication, as part of an agreed care plan
  • Companionship, so no one is left alone who doesn't want to be
  • Carers trained in safe moving and handling
  • Flexible visits, from an hour a day up to full 24-hour care
  • A personalised assessment to understand each person's needs and wishes

How it works

  1. Get in touch. Call or email us – we know this is often an urgent and difficult time, so tell us what's happening and what you need.
  2. We visit and assess. We talk through needs and wishes with you and the family, so the care plan reflects what matters to you.
  3. Care begins. Visits start as agreed in the care plan, from a daily visit up to full 24-hour one-to-one care.
